The BEST diet for you is the diet that you can live with FOREVER.

Here is the deal people...

๐Ÿ”ถThe BEST diet for you is the diet that you can live with FOREVER.๐Ÿ”ถ
-
There are 2 main drivers to any successful dietary approach. Is it sustainable? and Do you FEEL better?*
-
Sooooo...
-
If you can eliminate carbs and only eat fat and protein FOREVER and FEEL good*--then do it.
-
If you can eliminate animal proteins and only eat vegetables FOREVER and FEEL good*--then do it.
-
If you can drink green juice, kale salads and lemon juice FOREVER and FEEL good*--then do it.
-
*I define "feeling good" as stable energy, pooping daily, sleeping through the night, pain free periods, you want to have sex, can maintain weight without excessive exercise, warm body, healthy skin and hair, etc.
-
Of course, if any of the above dietary approaches did NOT work for you--either you didn't feel good or it was not sustainable (a no-carb diet can be hard to maintain.) then you have to ask why?
-
In my experience, for someone to actually feel good*, on any diet, they need to be supported both energetically (enough carbs/protein) and nutritionally (high nutrients). If either of these things are missing, symptoms can appear.
-
In addition, if you are having constant blood sugar crashes, sleep issues, painful periods, weight gain, brain fog and/or energy issues, food cravings, etc. your level of commitment, to any dietary approach, is going to wane.
-
When the body is getting enough fuel and nutrition it can support all its metabolic processes including energy production, digestion, detoxification, thinking, breathing, moving, hormone function, etc. AND since ALL metabolic processes require energy AND nutrition, high NUTRIENT dense foods, with ENERGY (carbs) are ideal.
-
Which means a diet high in fruits, roots, cooked vegetables, organ meats, grass-fed meats, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, etc may be an ideal place to start.
-
The truth is, as your health returns, you should be able to eat almost ANYTHING (in moderation) with little issues. This should be the ultimate goal of ANY dietary approach.
-
The bottom line is DO. WHAT. WORKS. FOR. YOU.
