Nutritional Coaching
“You have to get healthy to lose weight NOT lose weight to get healthy” – Diane Schwarzbein
I believe the above statement is the primary problem for most people trying to lose weight. My 27 years of experience demonstrates that most people are living in a hypo-metabolic state and don’t even know it. Instead, they refer to their slow metabolism as a result of “aging” unaware they can fix it.
Yes, age can play a factor in a slowing metabolism but I believe this is NOT the main reason your metabolism has all but stopped. Your lifestyle choices are 100% linked to the health of your metabolism.
Here is a list of a few things that can negatively effect your metabolism:
Dieting rollercoaster
Under- or over-exercising
Eating anti-thyroid foods
Avoiding pro-thyroid foods
Eating too much or too little
Eating processed vs. whole real food
Nutrient-deficient meals
Skipping meals
Stress
Poor sleep
Overall unhappiness
Negative though patterns
Lack of sun
Unhealthy living situations
Your beliefs about yourself and the world around you
Poor air quality
EMF’s
Mold and other environmental toxins
Botox, fillers and breast implants
Alcohol, drugs and prescription drugs
My approach to metabolic healing is completely outside the box from what is recommended by most clinical nutritionist and Registered dietitians and even the majority of medical professionals. Utilizing the research of Dr. Ray Peat, Dr. Broda Barnes, Dr. Han Seyle, Dr. Constance Martin and many others, I educate you on the nutrients and lifestyle choices that support your body’s physiology. I will help you understand, on a deeper level, why your current “diet” or lifestyle choices may be hurting you more than helping you. Once you have a better understanding of what your body really needs; including the right sugars, proteins and fat, self love, patience and commitment you can start your journey to renewed health, more energy, less weight and a happier life.
Metabolic Disorders attributed to poor cell function:
Metabolism starts at a cell level; this is where your body converts fuel (food) to energy. If you have poor cellular function you will produce less energy, which leads not only to a slower metabolism but also dysfunction within the body.
The following dysfunctions result when the body’s malfunction on a cellular level.
Over- or underweight
Diabetes
Feeling constantly cold
Insulin resistance
Hypoglycemia
Skin disorders
Arthritis
Fibromyalgia
High cholesterol
Hypo- or hyperthyroid
Hashimoto’s Disease
High blood pressure
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Colitis
Celiac Disease
Anemia
Cancer
Heart Disease
Aging
Osteoporosis
Chronic fatigue syndrome
Depression
Anxiety
Almost ALL autoimmune issues
Neuropathy and nervous system disorders
Hormonal issues And the list continues…
All of the above issues are a result of some malfunction on a cell level. Proper nutrition and lifestyle choices can support healing of the body and improve/eliminate many the above conditions.
My educational program is designed to help you heal your body so that YOUR BODY can help heal YOU from your current disorders. Once your body begins to heal on a cellular level, your metabolism increases, your body temperature increases, you feel more energized, you lose weight without starving yourself or working out for endless hours, you sleep better, and you feel happier.
